Take advantage of your affiliation in the PTHEA, Morris County EA, NJEA and NEA. Each membership comes with money-saving benefits that can help you save for your’s and your family’s future as well as enjoy life right now by paying less for goods and services. We all work extremely hard and we want to make every dollar we earn stretch as far as we can.
One of the most important things you can be doing right now that will help so much in your future is to start a 403(b). A 403(b) plan is a U.S. tax-advantaged retirement savings plan available for public education employees. It’s a great way to save for retirement and the sooner you start the better off you will be. The money you contribute to the plan comes directly out of your pay before taxes are deducted and put into the plan. The money you invest is not available to you until retirement and eventually you will pay taxes on it but when you do- your income will be lower as a retiree and the percentage of taxes you pay on your income will be lower.
We are not allowed to suggest a vendor to choose in getting this started. We currently have eight vendors that have been jointly approved by the PTHEA and the Board of Education that constantly swing through our schools to show their plans. Watch in your school’s Faculty Room and or Lunch Room for representatives from our approved vendors.

Stay Strong PTHEA.
